Money is always going to be a factor in any relationship, but it is hardly the ENTIRE relationship. 
You need to sit down and ask yourself if you can be with someone who can't help you financially for the rest of your life. Think about if he gives you enough outside of money, and go from there. It isn't such a black and white situation.

Everyone is different and it depends on what you want from a relationship. If you don't mind being the sole provider then that's ok- it's like a woman having her husband provide for her. Either way is fine if it works for you.

Personally, it's a hard no. I couldn't be with a man that wasn't a professional and contributed to the household financially as well as in other ways. I'm a career woman with a crap ton of education and still adding to my credentials until I'm at the level I want to be. I want an equal partner and I don't feel that a man staying home all day without a career is my equal. I want someone you values education, hard work and a profession in the same way that I do. I don't care him he makes more or less than I do, but I think both parties should be contributing to the household. I don't want a man providing for me and being dependant on me because I'd feel less important. I'd also feel weird not having my own money (of course we'd have a joint account, but I'd feel like using that money would be unfair since I didn't earn any of it). I don't want to put a man in the same position. It just wouldn't work for me at all.

A man should be a provider, not a moocher.  Drop him and get a hard working man.

Depends on the situation and if he's making up for it in other areas (taking care of/working on the house, not just sitting around doing nothing, etc)

Either you both contribute or you agree on something. Or if you get in a bad situation you should be the one to help. But if he's doing it just because he expects you do it and doesn't do anything else, then no. I live with my boyfriend and I don't pay the house bills. Because he told me not to. We agreed I pay for the groceries, other household items, and if I can help out once in a while then help. And pretty much in return(also because I work less) I do the house work/cooking. And it's the least I can do for him, since he pretty much takes care of me.

If they can help out in other ways then go ahead and work something out. My husband is a stay at home husband soon to be stay at home dad. He occasionally picks up odd jobs, but generally I pay for things. He makes up for his share by taking care of the house and will take care of our kid after they are born.
