period

So I am like 6 days late and today I think it started. It was like light pink blood when I wiped but I was going to gym so I put a tampon in just in case and this is the tampon 3 hours later. Would you say it started? I did a pregnancy test the other day and it was negative :( this is my first cycle off the pill, not ttc but not preventing it either.
