cramps from hell

I got the Mirena today for the first time, I switched from the pill. I knew that cramping is normal and all after insertion but dang.. these are worse than my period cramps which the whole reason I got on BC in the first place.. How long did your cramps last and did you find anything that helped? I've tried Midol and Ibuprofen, and a hot bath. I'm about to try essential oils (lavender and peppermint). Any tips? Thanks 💕💕
