When should I stop taking my birth control?

My hubby and I would like to start trying to conceive. We are trying to avoid getting pregnant before September because we have a vacation that month. Should I stop after this next pack, since the chances of me getting pregnant in August are slim. Probably smart to have at least one cycle without the birth control? Then that way, if I get pregnant on vacation, it won't be a big deal. Just exploring my options, and my husband has no clue what I should do since he doesn't really understand the entire process of the female body😂
