Anyone live in Florida ??

Where is the best place to live in Florida on the gulf coast beach? I was looking into Clearwater but now I'm looking into the Panama City or Pensacola area. I just want the beach, not too expensive, and a place where the job market is okay.

I live in Jacksonville and it's pretty nice here, cheap cost of living but tons of job opportunities. The beaches are pretty nice and there's a decent amount to do. Pensacola is really nice as well, kind of a party place but the beaches are fantastic.

Does it have to be west coast? I'm on the east and its wonderful here. Port Saint Lucie has very affordable housing and tons of jobs- especially medical field.

I actually love in Mississippi but it's only an hour away from Pensacola ! There are a lot of jobs and the beach is beautiful and rents not too bad either!!

Lived in Port St Lucie my whole life except moved to Ft Lauderdale 6 years ago and about to move to Parkland.... have loved every where I've lived

Florida beach locations in the south are more expensive than you think.  Naples, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm beach just to name a few are so expensive.  Jobs are hospitality based and only good during season.  Traffic horrible and I've lived/worked in a few of these cities or traveled to others for various reasons.  I wouldn't move to Florida.  But then again I grew up here and I'm not a beach person.  But I'm stuck here now as hubby and I bought a house and his sons custody with ex wife kinda forces our hand.    Lots of states have beaches. Pick somewhere that has more than the beach or you might get bored with all the old people around.

I think the West coast of Florida sucks (I live on it). I have family that live in st. Pete and Clearwater and they are ready to move. So many people and finding good jobs is hard to do. I personally love the east coast and hope to move there someday. My friend just relocated to the St. Augustine area and has had no issues finding work and there's so much to do.

I live on Jax beach! It's beautiful here, and honestly the cost of living isn't too bad. As far as our job market goes, it depends on what you do.
But if you insist on the Gulf coast, I would say Clearwater/Tampa region. I have family there and they love it
