Mirena IUD bleeding 😰

Question, I got my mirena IUD this last Monday at my check up (5weeks pp) I was almost completely healed from having my DS with very very light spotting,so my doctor went ahead with the IUD.  He said there would be some light spotting after insertion, here I am a week later with a heavy heavy flow almost as bad as my pp bleeding? Is this normal? Anyone else bleed like crazy after? How long did it last? I need it to stop!
