Out of my 18 retrieved eggs only 13 were fertilized and only 5 made it to blastocyst. I'm feeling sad and wondering what's normal?

Answer

I work in an IVF clinic. About 30-40% of fertilized eggs will become blasts. So your results are pretty normal although it is completely normal to be disappointed since you start out with 18.
