baby eye color

I know this is random but I was wondering if any of you had a child with really dark eyes but lighten over time ? My daughters eyes at birth looked almost black but she is 7weeks now and they have lighten to a brown but sometimes ppl say they look dark grey in different lightening with hints of green but I dont see it . My husband has a super light golden brown to hazel and mine are light to medium . His side of family has beautiful eye colors like aqua blue and green and they all say their babies eyes started off brown and lighten over time but I'm just not to sure how that's possible. However , our daughter has his shape Of eyes so is it more then likely she will have her dad's eye color?
