2 periods in 1 month?.

Has anyone ever had two period cycles in 1 month?. I had one in the very beginning of this month and then I started again yesterday. This has happened to me twice already. Not in a row but from the first time I had my period which I was 12. I've also had months that I don't get my period for that month. Not in a row as well. I am not taking any BC. I would be considered as having an irregular period right?.
