Trigger shot only?

Hello everyone,

I've just started seeing a specialist and was told today that I will be getting a trigger shot for ovulation. I was under the impression that I would have had to have been on other meds(Clomid or similar) prior to needing a trigger shot. Has anyone has this kind of trigger-shot only treatment? How did it work for you? Also, did you end up having multiples?

I have three follicles(two on left and one on the right) maturing at the moment, so I'm a bit worried about the chance of multiples with the shot.
