Am i a bad friend

My friend loss his car because he has no liscence or insurance. He need a grand in a week he asked me to give him the money but i told him no all the money i have is the money ive saved to get a house at the end of my lease in 5 months. I got him a job at my work and he either doesnt show or he leaves late and he also asked me to give him my 3rd car because i dont drive it (its not running right now its an easy fix but hard to work on a car when its 120 degrees) i should mention he wants me to fix it then give it to him. Which i said no because he has no liscence or way of getting insurance (hes had at least 10 accidents in the past year)

Am i a bad friend for not helping him this time? Hes texting me trying to guilt trip me. He says i should since im better off than him and i could help if.l put off my house ans just renewed my lease.
