birth control pill = moody af?

Question

I've been only the progestrone only pill for over a year now and boy am I ever moody/emotional since being on it! Now I don't know if that's just me being a moody teenage girl (I'm 17) or if it's my pill making me this way?? I've been looking into non hormonal forms of birth control such as the copper iud! Do any of you birth control pill users experience bad mood swings since being on birth control?

I took myself off of birth control about two weeks ago because of how the hormones were effecting me emotionally and physically. I honestly would never recommend birth control to anyone, unless it was absolutely necessary for health issues. I'm currently doing it all natural now, I'm just logging my periods/symptoms and tracking my fertile days. Since you're so young, I'm not sure a doctor would advise you to get a copper iud. I do know that you can get a lower dose of hormones with your birth control. I've heard that some women just needed a lower dose and that helped them.
