Toxic friends. Opinions please
Freshman year of college I became friends with a girl in one of my classes who was outgoing and introduced herself to me. We used to hang out on the weekends or after class and I truly enjoyed her company. I also met another friend through her though we were not close. Fast forward to fall of my junior year, my friend became quite rude when I would speak or towards others. There were times that she and the other girl would talk so badly about people but be nice when they needed something from them that I honestly felt so uncomfortable. They also would make fun of me for the guy I liked saying he was so boring and a loser. I also took school and work very seriously and she began getting mad complaining that I was busy. I felt that I needed to cut this friendship off but was unsure how to since I never was put in this position before.
That next semester was the last straw. I picked my friend up to go get some dinner and while we were eating she says "so me and so and so were saying how we think you're lying when you always say you're doing hw" "you don't like us etc". I was so shocked I couldn't believe she tried to accused me of lying. Many of the times I would turn down hanging out were due to my work load as a double major, work, and internship. (it was usually weekdays too)
I then found out from the guy I liked roommate that they went to his room and were trying to find a girl to hook him up with! They didn't like him at all and I know they did that on purpose to try and hurt me.
She texted me shortly after saying busy? And I just said yeah. So end of story haven't seen her since and couldn't be happier😎opinions please
