Should I text him

So me and this guy have been talking for about a month and tend to talk everyday to every other day. However, over the past 4 days we have barely talked. I want to text him but I don't know if I should wait for him to text me since I was the last one to start the conversation and he kinda ended the conversation. This probably sounds dumb but I don't want to look to clingy.
