Night Wean

Has anyone started night weaning their LO's? My LO still wakes up every two hours and feeds but I think it's more of a soothe feed rather then hunger. He's on solids and has a bottle before bed so I find it hard to believe he's hungry every two hours. I've tried just rubbing his back and letting him go back to sleep when he wakes up but he freaks out and gets agitated if I don't feed him. I think it's more so routine now for him then anything. Any suggestions??
