Bed sharing a bottle fed baby?

Bed sharing is the only way my one month old will sleep. My milk dried up a week ago so I'm formula feeding but I now hear your not supposed to bed share bottle fed babies? I don't fully understand why? We're positioned properly (midwife approved) and I'm such a light sleeper we aways wake up at same time.
Should I stop? I was previously breastfeeding so not sure if that counts.

The reason its only suggested for breastfed babies is because breastfed babies are more easily aroused than others, breastfeeding helps lower a baby's chance of SIDS, and mothers who are breastfeeding tend to be more alert/aware of their sleeping babies in bed

I have bed shared with my son since he was born. He will be almost 2 in a few months. The decision wasn't made lightly and without tons of research of how to sleep safely. We went by the safe sleep seven and several other bed-sharing methods to ensure we didn't have any scares.

My son had severe GERD and without sleeping with him, I feared he would aspirated his vomit in his sleep. Since sleeping together, we've had consistent 8-10 hours of sleep every night.

I would say to do as much research as you can prior to making this decision. It isn't for everyone, and rightfully so. I am a terribly light sleeper, and I would wake at the slightest sigh from my baby. But some mommas are heavy sleepers and a bomb can go off and they won't even miss a snore 😂

My understanding is that you're not supposed to co-sleep with any baby regardless of how they're eating, but I did with all my children and they didn't have blankets or pillows and they all lived. So, it's ultimately up to you and how safe you feel your child is.
