Moving in?

Question

How old were you when you moved out for the first time? Im 23 and still live at home. My boyfriend of 3 years is 27 and wants me to move in but im worried about how it will go. Did moving in with your partner improve, or destroy your relationship? Any tips on making it work, or Even tips on moving out for the first time. ALSO is it unreasonable for me to want to reorganize/redecorate things.. I hate how his appartment is now.. Idealy id like us to get a new one together but the rent is low where he is now,and it makes sense to stay.

I moved out when I was 16 and I moved in with my husband (then boyfriend). It was a relief when I moved out. You do start to see how your SO really is when you move in with them like some things could bother you but communication is key to be honest.

If you feel comfortable moving in with him, go for it. I moved out right after college when I took a job out of state, stayed at an Extended stay the first couple months until the hubs and I moved into a new apartment after the wedding.

If it's going to be your shared space, I'd say you should be able to redecorate to make it your combined space, but do it together so he doesn't feel like you're just taking over his space. Make it an 'our' space that works for both of you. I'd talk to him about it before you move in, and if he's not ok with that, it's a pretty good sign that living together isn't going to work out too well.

Okay so I have a two questions.

How long have you been dating?

I am 25 and my bf will be turning 26 next month. We've been together for 2 years now and we plan on moving in together in 2 years. So I'll be 27 and he will be 28. I'm afraid that things will change big time or he will get tired of me. Right now cause of our work schedule we only get to see each other once or twice a week. So to go from that to seeing each other every day is a big change. But I'm also excited to take that big step. He's never lived with anyone else but his family and I've moved out once and it didn't work so I moved back in.

I moved out of my parents house when I turned 18 it was scary at first but I needed my own independence and I've been on mt own ever since. I has been hard believe me you can do it and I will be 25 in two weeks. Try it out and see if you like it but one way or another it will happen. If you're in that point of your relationship then go for it you will never know what can happen. Yeah you see each other everydat but it's an adjustment that you get use to .
