SOS is this a boy thing??

So my hand keeps hovering over the break up button on my relationship of 2+ years. I'm in love with him, he's my best friend and i don't know if it's my stress because of finals week but he and his choices are just getting on my nerves. I attend everyone of his family parties, i love his family and I'll cancel my own plans just to be around them but everytime my family has a party he has work (which is ok obviously) or he wants to be around his family instead, or he'll come to the party and leave super early because he's "tired", and now that's it's fourth of july he finally promised to come over but his friends asked him to hang out with them so he immediately cancelled with me. I hate having to always make excuses for him when everyone asks me "hey where's your boyfriend"

AND whenever we hang out the second the clock hits 10 pm, or even close to it, he wants me to go home. I can't stand being this young and going home at 10 bc he's done for the day. But when he's out with friends i won't get a text from him saying he got home safe til like 2 in the morning??

Is this a boy thing???? Does anyone know??? I'm not feeling that valued right now but maybe it's nothing lmao
