Who was right?

Two of my friends both ended up in the same college class, although not super close they were friendly. They decided to do the group project together along with another girl. The guy friend is very intelligent and can be a little overbearing when it comes to school but he means well, although it doesn't always come out right. So basically he was trying to have the semester project done ahead of time so that they would all have time to look over it since it was a large portion of the grade/get ahead. The other friend was not happy about this and would make excuses saying it wasn't due so why do it now/have other work to do, which I understand. However, she only had 4 classes and only worked 1 day a week. I would hear her say all the time how she's bored or was just watching tv etc. I would see her skip her only mwf class multiple times. She also refused to work on it over spring break. He and the other group member started to get annoyed. She purposely put off doing her part of it to the night before, which I think is immature. Yet she complains when she can't do her work because of other people. So who was right?

Edit: Just wanted to add that she really thought she was right which is why I wanted to see what others opinions were. She never thinks she's wrong or can admit it. I tried to remain neutral and not get involved but I could tell she was annoyed I didn't just come to her defense and trash talk the other guy like she was.
