Every time!!!

Here lately every time I do the number 2 I wipe and have bright red blood on the toilet paper after I wipe. It has been so bad to the point that it has dripped from my butt after pooping. Here lately it hasn't been that bad but it is still bleeding. What could be causing this? Do I need to get to a doctor asap or could it be something that will go away on its own eventually?
