diaper rash! advice please!

Tomorrow marks one week my daughter has had a diaper rash, she has never had it up until now. She will be 9 months on July 23rd. We have tried Desitin extra strength and A&D.; Nothing seems to be working. I just stopped using wipes and using paper towels to clean her as someone advised me. I know it's not her baby food because I have been feeding her the same kind for the past 2 months and she never had a reaction. I don't know if it's because it's hot here in CA too? My friend said her baby out of nowhere just got a diaper rash too.

It has pretty much cleared up! I used the A&D; cream (I think that's what it's called?) and I used no wipes and made sure she was dry before applying cream! Now my question is, should I continue putting diaper cream for preventative rash care?

I also read about leaving diaper off but is that with or without diaper rash cream on?

Any advice on what I should do and when I should have her see a doctor?
