My Dog Lost His Eye.. And I Dont Know How To Cope

I love my puppy so much, I never understood how people could have so much LOVE and would spend so much on their dog until I got one. He's a chihuahua but he's so sweet, he shocks everyone. He didn't deserve what happened, he lost his eye and had surgery today, I go to pick him up in the morning, and I'm scared and scared to see what he looks like without an eye, that's my baby 🐶❤️💔. He was in so much pain, but he's so strong, I was scared to hold him and all he wanted was for me to pick him up, even with all that pain he still followed me around the house wanting attention, I caved in( I hate blood). It cost $550, extremely expensive but I did what I had to do. I'm having so many emotions right now, like... would it be easier to just give him away, cause I can't stand to see him like that. I love him, but I know me giving him away is ignorant thinking also, I just don't know how to think. My poor baby is all I can say.
