Mommies to be, explain growth scan plz.

Ladies, I'm 25weeks this Wednesday, saw my GYN yesterday had a scan everything he says looks great thank god, he's sending me for a growth scan at 27weeks right before I go back to see him my apts now are every 3weeks(I LOVE THIS MAN), is that too soon for a growth scan ladies, when did you all go or when are you going?also I have to have checked placenta position as mine was marginal but from what he saw yesterday he feels it did move up(FINGERS CROSSED).
