How much would you be willing to pay for one of your children's activities?

My daughter's gymnastics lessons I'll be around $3,000 for a year. Would you pay this if you had the money? I don't want to prevent her from achieving success, but that is a lot of money. It's for competitive gymnastics lessons so they'd have to travel for meets.

If I had the money I would. My mom had the money and wouldn't even pay $150 for me to join a team.

I was a competitive gymnast and used to work out 6 days a week/ 4 hours a day minimum at the gym. My parents were paying over $1,000 a month for it, and that didn't include traveling for competitions, grips, choreography, or leotards. It's an expensive sport.

If I had the money then yes. My parents wouldn't even pay $60 for me to join volleyball or basketball in high school, and they had the money. I would've had the money, but I was giving my entire paycheck to them. It was a really frustrating time. My dad wouldn't even let me volunteer at a nursing home 🙄

Try another gym? My daughters gymnastics which is also a travel team is only 1500$   Search for other gyms, see if they offer payment plans. But I would find a way to let her continue her passion
