Formula/breast feeding. Shame?

I keep seeing posts on women getting shamed for formula feeding, feeling pressured to breast feed, berated for feeding in public, etc.

I have formula fed 3 children. I have been very up front and honest about the fact that i have zero desire to breastfeed, will not do it, think it's creepy...not once have i had a dr, nurse, family member, friend, random person in public, nobody even give me a second glance. Nobody has ever questioned it.

My sisters breastfed 3 children, they have never received any side eye from anyone while breastfeeding in public and have never been confronted about it (though they do cover...maybe that makes a difference?).

Is there really any feeding shaming or is it all a media hype? Are we just the luckiest women on the planet? I don't get it.
