Should I throw my son a 1st birthday party?

I don't know if I want to throw him a bday party because it only be adults since I don't really know anyone with other babies.

Just for memories im going to have an outside party at tje park by the river. Many may not even come. But its for my baby!! 1 is a milestone, im excited!!

My husband finds a reason to throw a party regardless hahaha. We are doing a huge baptism party costing around 3,800.00 so no bday party just going to do something small for just us... i kinda say its her baptism/early bday.. she wont know the difference.

I'm doing 1st bday and thinking of probably only having birthday parties every few years. So much work and money! Plus my parents never had a birthday party for me
Every year growing up and I'm ok with that. We still celebrated our birthdays with a nice breakfast or dinner with our immediate family.

We're going to. He's our first and only child and we want to celebrate, even if it's more for the adults. Plus our families might have heart attacks if we didn't lol.

I'm undecided. I'm the worst at planning anything, but I kinda want to. I think if we do one we probably won't to do a "big" party for a while until he's older.

I'll let my mom and sisters host a typical family gathering and feed us. Won't really be any different than any other weekend we go visit except they'll give him presents. My SO and I don't like parties so since this one is more for us than him, we'll enjoy the quiet birthdays while we can.
