Ultrasound appointment?

Today I had a appointment at the Ob I am almost 11 weeks I heard the heartbeat which was 160! I asked when I can have another ultrasound she said when I'm 18 weeks? Can't I get it sooner? The last time I had a ultrasound I was 7 weeks 😔 can I do a 3D ultrasound if they don't give me one sooner or no? Or Can I ask for a sooner appointment?

in the UK we get 2 scans the first at 8-13 weeks which is a dating scan and the second 17-25 weeks which they do an official date and gender. Unless there are complications or a history of loss (like myself) it's unlikely they'll give you extra, some women who have an early scan thinking they're later than are have 3 scans. You can probably ask for more scans and very often you have to pay for these, if you speak to your midwife she'll have more information on doing this.

Unsure where you're from, but, in England you're only allowed 2 aswell 12 and 20 weeks!
The only way you get more is if you have pregnancy complications or you pay for them privately x

That's normal. You will get one around 7/8 weeks then your anatomy scan around 18/21 weeks. If you want any others you'll probably have to pay out of pocket for one somewhere else
