So I have masturbated and have done other things involving penetration, but have never actually had sex. Does this count as losing my virginity? My hymen is still intact. I have been told mixed answers and have never had a clear explanation about it.

so virginity is different to everyone. my belief is that you had to have some sort of sexual encounter with another person to lose your virginity, but that's just me. a girl that went to my school said that she was still a virgin because she kept her shirt on both times she had sex. if you still consider yourself a virgin, that's fine. if you don't, also fine. just know MOST people associate losing your virginity with penetrative sex. If you're in a heterosexual relationship, I consider penial penetration in vagina the only thing that will change your virginity status.

I really believe that you have 1 special time with 1 special person. Your vagina hasn't experienced the actual penetration of a (real) human penis. I would consider you a virgin, if you have messed around with penetration that doesn't mean your not a virgin.
