Light flow dark color bleeding instead of period

Ok so about a week and a half before expected period I had light flow but dark colored bleeding for 3 days I mean extremely light only there when I wiped. This was two days after ovulation test was a positive so I assume that was ovulation bleeding although I've never experienced this before. Now here we are waiting on AF and on day 3 of being late I have extremely light flow but dark in color mixed with lots of CM this has went on for 5 days now but it's still only a few times a day when I wipe that anything is there. My cervix has been high and mainly soft to the touch since I had the ovulation test show positive. I took a pregnancy test at 3 days late and again today which I'm now 6 days late they both said negative. Any ideas on what in the world is going on I've never experienced anything like this before. I've called my OB but haven't been able to speak with anyone there yet.

Add on. I always have severe cramps when on my cycle and nothing is happening not even moody which is also always there.
