C-section possibility?

I'm 34 weeks and my whole pregnancy I've measured big. I've had ultrasounds for monitoring her growth etc. Everything is totally normal. I've only gained 15lbs and the doctor told me I'm all belly lol. They told me they are predicting she'll be at least an 8lb baby. Both my mom and MIL said I might want to request a c section. I know that at a certain weight they automatically do it but I've known women to push out 10lb babies. At what weight do they recommend a c-section? Is it necessary? Have any of you pushed out 8lb babies or more? I'm not sure what to do at this moment. I'm scared for both my stomach and my vagina lol.

I'd listen to your ob rather than  anyone else with no obgyn education.... those ultrasounds can be off about a lb so you never know how much it'll weigh.

Your body will make a baby you can birth 99% of the time. I'm 5'4", my last baby was 8.10 born at home. My grandma had 4 babies all over 8 lbs and she's only like 5'3". Macrosomia is defined as a baby over 9.13 I believe. They can not accurately tell how big a baby is at this point anyway. I think it's so silly anyone would be trying to talk you into a major abdominal surgery just because you're expecting a NORMAL sized, HEALTHY baby 😂 Your vagina and pelvis were made to do this! Your vag will not be the same, but it will go back to MOSTLY normal. My husband never complained anyway 😂

My mom had a 10 pound baby and my mil had an 11 pound baby naturally. Our bodies are made to push em out lol I would never request a c section. If I were you, I would only consider it if it were brought up by your doctor first.

I'm 5'4" and had no problem with an 8lb.5oz baby.  8-9 lbs is big but not something to worry about.

i decided to be induced at 39wks w my first. He felt so heavy and I was so tired of being pregnant! The ultrasound said he measured between 7-8lbs but when he was born he was 9.11oz. I delivered vaginally wout any tears.

My first was 8lb 1 an a piece of cake to push out Im not a big girl either.Im measuring 0ver 3 weeks ahead and they are giving me a sweep early they say no reason for c section even tho he's possibly going to be around 9lb x

My first baby was 8lb 10oz. I pushed her out in 10 minutes. My mom delivered me vaginally. I was 10lb 5oz!

I'm 5'2" and my first was 8 lb 7 oz. I had a couple of tears, but nothing bad at all. I recovered very well and am on track to have another 8lb+ baby. Your body was made to birth whatever size baby you have. Don't stress!

I have the same concern! I've gained 30 pounds and at 34 weeks, baby is nearly 6 lbs. I'm anticipating she'll be 9 pounds. Family mentions I should get a c section - doc just says she's going to be a big baby and I'll be fine. But I want to go natural, as my husband can't take time off after birth. What will happen to my kitty?!
