First appt: what to expect?

My husband and I just found out we are 4.5 weeks along with our first little miracle! We are so excited! My first doctors appt is August 1. What should I expect? Will there be an ultrasound or just a bunch of blood tests? I've never done this before and I like to be prepared!

My first appointment was answering a lot of family history questions, giving a urine sample and then a lot of blood work. We scheduled my first ultrasound while we were there as well (they don't do them in my office) luckyily I got one scheduled for the next day where I was given my due date.

Blood work some do ultrasounds some dont depends on the dr they get your meds history they are just basically going to get to know u more as far as health wise

Probably not an ultrasound that early. Every doc is different but that's super early and they can't really determine anything that early. Probably a blood test to test your pregnancy hormone levels and just talking to you about medical history stuff.

My first appointment that early was a snoozer:) they do blood work, a family history, give you information on healthy pregnancies, answer your questions and schedule your ultrasound between 8-12 weeks.

Definitely urine sample, blood work, and questions about your medical history. I had a transvaginal ultrasound, but it wasn't much different than a pap, honestly. However, my friend went to a different doctor and didn't get an ultrasound. Just depends on how many your doctor does.
