My fiancé can suddenly feel my paraguard iud?

I've had the paraguard since January of this year. I liked it at first but a month and a half into it I started a period and that period didn't end until 2 days ago. 🙄 which I guess some women experience bleeding like that with iuds. Well recently I haven't been bleeding🙏🏼 anyway yesterday me and my fiancé were having sex and he said he felt something stab him and it hurt him bad😣 I made an appointment on Friday to talk to my doctor about getting the iud out and something else(any suggestions?) but I wanted to ask you ladies why do you think he felt that? It's the first time he's ever felt it and we have sex often.
