Lotus Birth ???

Question

Has anyone had or know of anyone who has had a lotus birth ( leaving the placenta on days after birth and allowing it to fall off naturally ) would you yourself consider it ?

If my dog chewed off the umbilical cord to detach it's puppies from the placenta, that tells me that; even in nature, leaving it attached is NOT natural. delayed cord clamping is one thing, carrying around a dead organ is completely unnecessary.

In addition to everything mentioned here by the other users, think about this: the umbilical cord cannot feel pain. That's because it's meant to be severed after birth. Also, of you watch a video of a birth, look at the baby's cord once it has gone white. You can see a clear line where it becomes white showing the differentiation between where the baby's body ends and the dead cord begins. It is not part of the baby or you after birth. No point in keeping it around.

I want to actually try it. Like I know some people feel a certain way about leaving it on but I think even leaving it on until after it's finished pulsating is good. 
I mean people eat their placenta which I think is just not gonna freaking happen.
