Do you think I should ask for a guys number ?

I am 14 and have never had a boyfriend. I am getting to the age where I want one to experience new things (NOT SEX). I don't consider myself unattractive and all my freinds say I'm pretty but no guys ever approach me. I really dont know why ? A guy has never asked me out and for all I know had a crush on me. I am going to this festival for teens in about 2 weeks and I want to know if you think I should ask for a guys number ? Btw today I was in the city with my friends and for a dare I asked for a hot guys number then he added me on Insta and I realised he was 18 and from Germany Backpacling through Australia so I am going to block him.
