Becoming closer with god

I'm 17 years old and I so want to become closer with God. I used to be and I used to go to church, read the Bible daily, and express my love for him all the time as a child. But somewhere I lost myself along the way, I recently got myself out of an abusive relationship and am now a single mother and right now I need my God more than ever. But I just don't know how to get closer to him. I feel like just reading the Bible and going to Church isn't enough for me, I just feel like there's a lot more I could be doing.
