General ttc

So i guess I need peace of mind. My boyfriend and I are trying to conceive we've been living together for over a year now and we've been talking about it a lot and finally made the decision to start trying. Some people say it's not smart because we've only been together for two years. But we both want a child together he has a little girl who's four and she lives with us I adore her, treat her like my own but we've agreed that we are ready and the "friends" that I've talked to say it's not a good idea, they say I hardly know him, whether it's true or not he's a damn good father to the daughter he has! Some people say wait till marriage, We've talked about marriage and one day it will happen but as far as that goes we've agreed that why rush Marriage if you plan on staying with them forever! Like I don't understand.
