Best way to care for baby after 2mo vaccinations?

Question

My baby boy is getting his 2mo shots on Friday. My doctor advised me to get some infant Tylenol ahead of time. How did your babies react to the shots immediately to the next 24-48 hours?  I want to be well equipped but also will have family staying with me for a big art exhibit opening that I don't want to miss but may have to set expectations that I can't go if baby is not doing well. 
I k ow each baby reacts differently and there are different views on vaccinations so please just limit comments to how your baby reacted. Thanks!!!

I would research giving tylonel... here in Canada we don't give it unless there's a high fever that can't be controlled as they think it lessens the effectiveness. I prescribe dark quiet room with skin to skin and unlimited breastfeeding (if you're nursing) if not then give a pacifier.

My son woke up a few hours after his 2 month shots in a lot of pain. He was screaming and screaming, he couldn't even take his normal bottle, it was very stressful for us. We gave him Tylenol and he fell asleep for the rest of the night and was fine the next day.

My baby was really tired afterward but could only fall asleep and stay asleep if i were holding him in a very specific way. If i moved in the slightest bit, he would wake up and scream. He didnt eat as much as usual for the following couple of days.

Thanks for your responses ladies!  Really helped to put my mind at ease. My little guy got his shots yesterday technically since it's 4am now and he's doing perfectly fine. No fever, just a bit more sleepy than usual. Nothing some good cuddles can't fix 😊

My son got a fever and he would stop eating as much after you give them the Tylenol they will sleep much better and feel much better no symptoms after that. 
I gave him Tylenol and never missed a dose so my baby wouldn't be in pain because trust me they will scream and be hot and it's horrible.

I give Tylenol 30min-1 hr before my son gets shots. He usually does pretty good. My Doc said though they usually don't have a very noticeable reaction to the shots at 2 months. I think 6 months and  1 year were our worst. Good luck.

mine was fine for the first 3 hours or so but then he started crying real bad until I gave him the Tylenol then he just slept for the rest of the day

Our experience was similar for all 3 kids.
Baby cried about 30 seconds getting the shots.  Took a longer nap than usual shortly after shots.  The kids were a belligerent mess after waking from that long nap until bedtime.
My oldest also had a fever for about 24 hours after shots.
The two month shots were worse than shots that came later.

My 2 mo screamed when she got the shots, but then fell right back to sleep after. She was perfectly fine, smiley and happy for the next few hours so I though we were out of the woods. WRONG. She all of a sudden started screaming in pain and nothing I did could help. Even nursing she would suck for a minute and the cry again. It was awful. I finally got her to sleep by swaddling her and laying her in her crib (she never does either). I couldn't cuddle her like I planned because every time I moved even a little she started crying. So when she woke up, she was screaming again. I gave her Tylenol and bounced/nursed her back to sleep and laid her in her rock n play. She had another three hour nap. And then when she woke up she was fine! Smiling and everything. It was a rough afternoon but she was fine that night and the next day. No fever. But definitely keep that Tylenol handy for fever or pain! Good luck!
