Which is better for newborn?

I am looking forward to registering for our miracle baby, currently 8 weeks and 3 days. Would it be a better investment to register for a pack n play since the bassinet is only good for a short while? Or is there a better option?

We are using a pack n play and buying the mattress to go in it. My daughter was only in her bassinet 4 maybe 5 months and had to be moved to her crib which I wasnt ready for but had no choice since she wouldnt fit no more comfortably. With a pack n play yu can use it for years!

We registered for the pack n play, but we'll also get a bassinet with the Uppababy Vista as a back up.

Pack n play is a better investment as far as long term. We use it for home and travel. Both my babies hated the bassinet. One only would sleep in the rock n play, the other used the pack n play and his crib. What ever you decide keep the box and receipt babies can be very finicky with their preference to sleeping spots.

We have a pack n play with a bassinet insert. You use it for much longer than a regular bassinet.

Our baby haaaates the packnplay! We used a bassinet then at 5 months switched her to a crib (in our room)
