How is everyone handling the heat? Here in WI, especially along the Lake Michigan where I live, it has been fairly mild for heat index (most days it stays in the 60s). Not many hot days.

So this weekend, I am suppose to be in Iowa City,IA for my sister's wedding and there will be a heat index warning. Besides the fact that I will be 39 weeks along at that point and now the heat, I am growing more and more concerned that I should stay home in cooler temperatures and air conditioning. I have been reading how excess heat/overheating can induce labor. My biggest fear at this point is having this baby in IA while there for my sister's wedding and not home with my husband in WI.

How are other ladies handling the heat so far this summer? Any pointers or tips to staying cool that might ease my worries.
