Am i supposed to be continuing taking my prenatal vitamins even though I am not breastfeeding?

my son takes formula from the bottle! my doctor gave me iron pills to take but i just read on my discharge paper where it says i needed to continue taking my prenatal vitamins. i read online that it says something about iron. what happens if i don't continue taking my prenatal vitamins? i don't know what to do?

My doctor said to keep taking my prenatals and I asked the same thing because I'm not breastfeeding and she said to just finish the bottle of them that I have. I never did haha. They are sitting up in my cabinet. I would have been taking them for a few months still because I had to buy more like a week before I had my baby. I just don't like them.

If it says on your discharge paper that your doctor wants you to continue taking prenatals then I would say yes

I've been taking prenatals since my mid 20s even though I wasn't TTC yet.  I recommend continuing taking them or atleast taking some sort of vitamin daily still.

they probably just want you taking them because they are a very good multivitamin and your body is going through a lot of hormonal changes and physical recovery

yes it will not hurt you or do anything bad for you.It will help you not to loss your hair. Many women start to loss alot of hair after giving birth.
