hi ladies! i am having my shower soon and want to make sure it's non traditional and we don't do anything that is annoying lol please let me know some things you hate when you are a guest at a shower, thanks!

Games, and opening presents in front of people. I did it, but really didn't want to- I kind of wish I had requested that people bring presents unwrapped. It's time I would have rather spent taking with people I never see. The only people that really care to watch presents being unwrapped are usually the older people.

I hate the baby food game, where one guest has to race to feed another guest a jar of baby food (usually blindfolded for maximum awkward). Messy, and some baby food does not taste good!

The "guess the chocolate bar in the diaper" game. Basically you melt a chocolate bar in a diaper and the guests have to guess what kind of chocolate bar it was (Hershey's with almonds etc).

I really don't like baby showers in general.. I have horrible anxiety and social anxiety, so I get way to nervous and panic. My last baby shower my niece and cousin opened my gifts for me.. this time it's gonna be bigger with my family, my step dads and then my husband's mom and dad's side, like 100+ guests and mu husband said he'll help me through it. But mostly don't like the games...

I hate games. I went to one that was super nice with champagne and mimosas and flowers and great food and it was more like a fun brunch than just another baby shower.

I might be old fashioned...I like some of the games! You can mix it up by having them less intimidating for guests...like everyone tells a story on how they met you, have an activity where they write a message for the baby, etc. I agree with those saying to stay away from baby food games!!!
