IUD Bleeding

I got my IUD (paragard) put in a little over 3 weeks ago. The first 3 days after insertion I bled and had cramps and then stopped for a couple days and then spotted for a couple days and then nothing and then spotting. Then I got my first period with the iud and it was definitely heavier and roughly 2 days longer and that ended a week ago and I've been lightly spotting the past 2 days and now it's more like a light period day flow. Is this normal to bleed and spot this inconsistently and frequently? How long did it take your body to go back to normal cycles?
