pregnant?

Okay so last month was my last month to take my birth control pills because I moved states and currently don't have a doctor where i live now to refill my prescription and I came back to visit my home town and went to see my ex boyfriend (we only broke up cuz I moved) we had sex with a condom. but now my period is 3 days late could it be my hormones are messed up because I stopped my birth control ? or should I take a prgbacty test ? what should I do ?
