When does crying peak?

My daughter is almost 8 weeks old and has had periods of inconsolable crying for about two weeks. The past couple of nights she's been really bad and restless, up for hours straight. Does the excess crying and fussiness continue usually until 8 weeks or so?

someone else mentioned, if it's colic, it can go on for several months. my doctor told me that my son's non stop screaming would probably go until 3 months and then stop like it was never there. She was spot-on. He's the happiest baby now! Remember that the crying in no way reflects the kind of baby or child your little one is. It's just part of being a baby. though, to be fair, even though the screaming will get better and it won't be all the time, brace yourself. while it won't be nearly as constant later on, it will be at much higher volumes and with more Force LOL. I asked my mom around the 8-week mark if this was the worst it was going to be. She told me that babies at this age are practicing crying so they can cry later on for longer times at louder volumes lol

my daughter did not have colic but she did have a few very tough weeks and it was around 8 weeks. if things stent improving by your 3 month well check, definitely bring it up (I mean, bring it up anyway but I would think it could be some underlying issue like colic or silent reflux if it continues to 3 months)

It's just hard to say. She has really good days where she barely cries snd then she has days where she's up for hours on end and screaming for half of it.
