Bible study Tuesdays ( July 25, 2017)

Lededra D • Hey, I am 26 years of age. Me and my better half have being trying to Concieve for 6 years. Hopefully we'll be able to get our little blessing.

Hey ladies. I pray that each of you are feeling as blessed as I am on today.. I listening to a sermon on YouTube last night. And the speaker really hit on something that touched a spot a spot in me deeply. She said, when you are righteous and you read the bible, you can revelations, but when you aren't righteous you're just a bible reader. She said because an unrighteous person only understand with their carnal minds, their flesh controlled minds. But a righteous person has killed their flesh, so they read in the spirit. And the reason it touched me so deep is because when I was sinner. I had said the prayer that we all say when first get saved but I was still a sinner because sin still dominated my flesh at that time. So when I read the bible it was like reading just any other book it didn't really do nothing or mean nothing. But fast forward a year later, when I read the same thing I had read at first a got a more in depth understanding. And the bible begin to talk back to me. Things I read at one point in my life and said okay about, now I read and say " Oh, God fix that about me". Or, thank you Jesus for revealing that to me. So, Ladies my question is, as you are reading the word of God, or hearing the word of God do you allow it to correct you, give you understanding/knowledge, and bless you. Or are you just going through the motions and not really moving forward?

Bible verse: Then while it is [still] called Today, if you would hear His voice and when you hear it, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion [in the desert, when the people provoked and irritated and embittered God against them]. [Ps. 95:7, 8.] For who were they who heard and yet were rebellious and provoked [Him]? Was it not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? And with whom was He irritated and provoked and grieved for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose dismembered bodies were strewn and left in the desert? And to whom did He swear that they should not enter His rest, but to those who disobeyed [who had not listened to His word and who refused to be compliant or be persuaded]? So we see that they were not able to enter [into His rest], because of their unwillingness to adhere to and trust in and rely on God [unbelief had shut them out]. [Num. 14:1-35.]
