Gender Reveal!

We adopted our little boy in Aug 2016 and were surprised (and excited) to find out we were expecting baby number 2, due in Nov 2017! While I didn't want to find out gender, my husband really wanted to know and my best friend really wanted to host a gender reveal party, so I relented. We had our scan on a Tuesday, where the tech placed the results in a sealed envelope that I dropped off to my girlfriend.

So, our family and close friends gathered for the party. We thought that when we cut in to the cake, the icing or cake would be blue or pink and we would know! However, much to our surprise, it was white cake with white icing and multicolored sprinkles poured out! We were so confused! LOL! As we looked in the cake, we noticed a tiny slip of paper that shared a nursery rhyme and sent us on a scavenger hunt. It was so much fun and such a surprise! After 5 different nursery rhyme clues, we ended at the mailbox where there was a smoke bomb that was all PINK! We were so surprised and so very excited. It was such a creative and fun way to do the reveal, even though I wasn't pulling to find out, I'm glad we did and it was so very special. Cheers to adding a baby girl to the mix!
