People who use dishwashers are lazy

My husband, our 2 kids (7yo and 1yo), and I live in an apartment that has a dishwasher. When we first moved in 2 years ago I was super excited about it because I have never had one, even growing up. I hate washing dishes by hand. My husband practially banned me from using it. He said only lazy women use it because they're too lazy to wash them by hand. I was very pissed but decided to pick my battles. Fast forward a couple of months and I was heavily pregnant, I got sick and tired of doing them by hand so I tried out the dish washer. It was so much easier! When my husband found out he said that the dishes weren't clean and he wasn't going to buy the soap for it anymore. Since I am a SAHM/college student (until I graduate next spring and can finally start working), I don't make the money. He works 6 days a week from 8-10hrs a day in construction. I take at least five classes a semester, do everything in the house and with our children. He does nothing besides bring home the money. I just want to use my damn dishwasher to save time. He doesn't EVER offer to wash dishes. The only thing he does to "help" is give our 1yo a bath but only a bath. I have to dress her, brush her teeth, and put her to bed. Is he right, that its lazy to use the dish washer?
