Do you have to have water running to go poop?

For me I have to have the sink on and going in order for me to poop 💩

It took me way to long to realise what that even meant, also thats a dreadful waste of water man don't do that

Such a waste of water!!! Plug in a fan or play some music! Anything to make noise that isn't wasting gallons of water every time you poop!!

I just turn on the fan in the bathroom. I can't poop when it's silent. 
If the bathroom doesn't have a fan, then I will turn on some music on my phone, or play a YouTube video.
