is contacts the same price as glasses???

so next month i'm going to the eye doctor and getting contacts because i'm tired of glasses, i can't do anything , especially in this heat asss california i need them to see im so blind and it's annoying when i do my makeup all pretty but i put my glassses on and it ruins the makeup on my nose it's soooo damn annoying. Is the price the same tho as regular glasses ? my prescription glasses were 300$ bucks So contacts should be around that much right or more? 😕
