HELP!!!!

so I've been with my boyfriend for 7 months now. and when we first started saying he told me that the reason he chose me was because he wanted someone smart. he told me that he wanted out of the party and drug lifestyle. I told him that I would help him. I feel like all we've done is fight the past 4 months because he started hanging out with one of his old friends. and this kid does nothing but party and sell drugs. well my bf got mad at me because I told him I didn't want him hanging out with this kid only because he told me he didn't want that lifestyle..... well on Monday he told me that he hates the way I've become and all he wants to do is party and have fun. he told me that I was being a bitch and needed to lighten up. I'm so confused on what to do because I thought he wanted me to help him get out of that lifestyle. can someone please give me advice because I really like and care about him
